As the meaningful FOREWORD with ACTIONS to the LIEBHERR WORLD TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 (April 29th - May 6th) on April 25-27, 2018 ITTF, BWF, SISU, HALLANDS IDROTTSFORBUND, SVENSKA BORDTENNISFORBUNDET, HALMSTAD UNIVERSITY organized and conducted the racket sports science conference at Halmstad University in Sweden.
The conference was conducted in three areas: Health and Innovation, High Performance, and Sports Sciences with Keynote and Invited Speakers, Oral Presentations and Workshops.
In the Conference took part representatives and experts from 25 countries. The Conference included a panel discussion with the ITTF President Tomas Weikert, ITTF CEO Steve Dainton and Peter GÃ¥rdestedt of Halland Sports Federation. The panel discussion was moderated by Mikael Andersson. Contextual and sensitive answers and questions on current table tennis sports development and sports development showed ways the sport undertakes. For example, the ITTF CEO shared with the audience the ITTF´s vision of modernizing the format of table tennis world championships for better presentation, demonstration and displaying all the matches being played on the ITTF Worlds.
Prof. Dr. Urban Johnson and Dr. Lars Kristen moderated the Conference.
