BREAKING NEWS: Canadian author Alice Munro wins 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature

USPA News - Canadian author Alice Munro, considered to be one of the world`s best short story writers, was awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature on Thursday. She is the 13th woman and the first Canadian-based writer to win the literature prize.
Munro, 82, was awarded the honorable prize by the Swedish Academy and described as a "master of the contemporary short story." She had been a favorite for bookmakers, with Ladbrokes in London giving her 4:1 odds of winning, just below its 5:2 rating for Japanese writer Haruki Murakami.
