The film director and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst revealed in a radio interview on Moscow´s ROCK FM that he´d like to become a Russian citizen. Fred Durst used the airwaves to reach out to anyone who might be able to set him up with the elusive citizenship.



“I really want to get a Russian passport! Moreover, I want to buy a house here,“ he said. “This is a very complicated process. So if anyone has acquaintances who could help, please call!“
According to Fred Durst, he arrived in Moscow with his group to prepare for the tour, which starts in late October and covers 20 cities. In Moscow, Limp Bizkit will give a concert on October 31 in St. Petersburg - 27 November. In addition, November 29 musicians will visit Almaty. In the cities of the tour also includes the Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Samara.

Singer and film director Fred Durst was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He became immersed in the hip-hop and punk rock scenes of his adopted city as a teenager. While working as a tattoo artist, he formed the band Limp Bizkit in 1994. Driven by Durst's angry lyrics and showmanship, Limp Bizkit became one of the most popular bands of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Since 2006, Fred Durst has also become known for his work in independent films. He costarred in the film Population 436, and made his directorial debut in 2007 with the film The Education of Charlie Banks. He directed a second film, The Longshots, in 2008. Fred Durst has been ranked in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by Hit Parader.
