The new Spanish cinematography shows its strength in Lisbon
Film Festival until October 7
Film Festival is an initiative of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA its Spanish acronym) and the Directorate General of Policy and Cultural Rights and the Book of the Ministry of Culture of Spain in collaboration with Cinemundo Industries, and is held in the framework of the Espanha Mostra 2015. The sample of Spanish cinema will take place at the Cinema City do Campo Pequeno, Lisbon, from 1 to October 7, 2015. The exhibition presented at this year's edition some of the most important films of 2015, a unique opportunity to raise awareness and show the Portuguese public wealth and diversity of Spanish cinema.
Through a selection of films made in Spain, Film Festival aims to be a showcase to promote the dissemination of Spanish cinema in Portugal. Among the films presented in this issue are 'Now or never' blockbuster in Spain; 'Anacleto: Secret Agent', one of the most anticipated movies this year with Imanol Arias in front; 'Ma Ma', the latest film from director Julio Medem, starring Penelope Cruz; 'Unknown', thriller starring Luis Tosar; 'The body of Anna Fritz', with the promising young Alba Ribas; 'My big night', last work of Alex de la Iglesia with a star cast; and 'Happy 140', film director Gracia Querejeta has enjoyed great success with audiences and critics and aspired to be at the Oscars this year.
The program this year will be completed with sessions outstanding films of recent years, with titles like 'The minimum island', 'The great Spanish family', 'Group 7' and 'Even the Rain', among others. Film Festival this year, as in previous editions, will feature prominent names in Spanish film that will help bring the Portuguese public the Spanish cinema.
